RECreate Field Trip

A great big thank you to the New Orleans Hornets for having our RECreate participants at the Thursday, April 19th game versus the Houston Rockets. What an exciting game! Additionally, this field trip wouldn't be possible without dedicated RECreate volunteers, thank you for helping make this possible! RECreate is a youth recreation and cultural awareness project which takes place at the Harmony Oaks Community Center and A.L. Davis Park in Central City. Mayor Landrieu Calls On the YLC

Last week, the YLC Board of Directors had the honor of a meeting with Mayor Mitch Landrieu in his chambers. Our objective: To determine what initiative(s) our 1,200+ members should focus on. We have the muscle, so our question was - what can we help him fix?

Support Lemonade Day
Lemonade Day is a FREE, fun, experiential business education program that teaches youth ages 5-17 how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand as well as fundamental lessons about life, success and themselves. They earn profits, share with charities and stimulate local economies.
